The PUMP Act and the PWFA
Changes related to the PUMP Act and the PWFA are reflected in new FLSA and FMLA workplace posters. You can learn more about the FLSA changes and requirements for employers and nursing mothers here.
Two recent bills, the Providing Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers Act (PUMP) and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), require updates to workplace posters. The PUMP Act went into effect April 28, 2023 and the PWFA Act goes into effect July 27, 2023.
With these changes, the Department of Labor’s (DOLs) Wage and Hour Division (WHD) requires employers post updated Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) workplace posters.
What Does This Mean for Employers?
Covered employers must:
Use updated FLSA Poster, marked REV 4/23
Use updated FMLA Poster, marked REV 4/23
For your convenience, you can download the new versions of these workplace posters from the HR Resources page on AdaptiveHRS.com.
